Product recall alerts
Find out if something you own has been recalled
Recalls are announced by regulators, and it is easy to miss one for a toaster or car seat you bought years ago. The Recall Vault is a UK and EU product recall tracker for the things you own: it checks the products in your vault against official recall notices, so you do not have to keep watching for them.
Checked against official notices, every night
We take recall notices from the UK Office for Product Safety and Standards (OPSS) and the EU Safety Gate, and check them against the products in your vault every night.
UK vehicle recalls from the DVSA, and notices from the US, Canada and Australia, are coming soon.
We match on more than the brand
A recall usually covers only certain model numbers, serial ranges or batches, not everything a brand makes. We compare your item’s brand and model, and its serial number or batch code where the recall is limited to those.
If your model is covered but we don’t hold your serial number, we tell you it is worth checking and show you where to add it, rather than staying silent.
What you will receive
When we find a match, we review it before we email you. It is a safety alert for your appliance or other product: the email says what the hazard is and what to do about it, and links to the official notice.
Recall alerts are part of our paid plans. See pricing.
A safety net, not a guarantee
We can’t promise to catch every recall. Matching depends on the details in your vault and on the notices we hold, and we only cover the sources above. For anything safety-critical, such as a car seat, also register the product with its manufacturer and check the regulator’s own website. See our Terms of Service.
